Photography became an interest to me when I took a camera with me on Safari in 1992. Stunning pictures captured the essence of seven days of adventure generating stories of life-long memories. Since the Safari, a high quality camera, readily available, captures surprisingly striking shots, while providing a travel log for future reference.

Remarkably, the most focused and interesting photos have come in the pristine back country of Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Mineral King National Parks. Besides sojourns at Bear Paw Meadows' High Sierra Camp, hikes well into the back country have produced startling shots of locations seen by few and highlight the hidden beauty of our national parks.

Wildlife in Motion

Over the course of one Kenyan week, my eyes were opened to the raw beauty of Africa. A real-life Discovery Channel experience brought me upclose and personal with the animals, flora, and fauna of the many eco-systems in Kenya.
